Lucille Struble, 89, of Onawa, Iowa, died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at her residence in Onawa.

Mrs. Struble was born July 24, 1908, at Ute, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Kelly) Davis. On March 3, 1926, she married Lloyd Struble at Soldier, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Turin and Castana area until 1944 when they moved to a farm in the Soldier and Dunlap community. In 1948 they moved west of Ute. Upon retirement they came to Onawa. Mr. Struble died on March 18, 1977. Lucille had made her home at Center Heights in Onawa the past twelve years.
She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Lawrence Oetken of LeMars, Iowa and Joyce and Richard Grigg of Casa Grande, Arizona; one son and his wife, Sherman and Melba Struble of Missouri Valley, Iowa; two sisters, Leona Richardson and Esther Barney, both of Onawa; two brothers, Philip Davis of Onawa and Lynn Davis of Berthoud, Colorado; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter Phyllis; and brother Edward and Dwight.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 1998, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Elder Donald Bothwell officiating. The organist was Marilyn Hunter and the soloist was John Carritt.

Casket bearers, grandsons, were Harley Grigg, Todd Struble, Kyle Oetken, Tim Struble, Neal Oetken and Jim Oetken.

Interment was in Jordan Township Cemetery at Soldier, Iowa with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
