BLENCO Iowa — Noel "Bus" Blackman, 79, of Blencoe died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Moorhead Christian Church in Moorhead, Iowa, with Elder Jon Lizer officiating. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery at rural Moorhead. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, Iowa.

Mr. Blackman was born May 18, 1918, in rural Moorhead, the son of Clinton and Ada L. (Tornow) Blackman. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1938.

He married Joyce Niles on Aug. 8, 1940, in Onawa. The couple farmed in the Mondamin, Pisgah, and Little Sioux, Iowa areas until moving to Blencoe in 1960. They moved into Blencoe in 1978.

He was a member of Moorhead Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and their wives, Jerry and Judy and Larry and Ann, all of Norfolk, Neb., and Terry and Colleen of Onawa; a brother, Oral "Tiny" of Mapleton, Iowa; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Voyle.
