MAPLETOIS Iowa- Everett Merle Price, 67, of Mapleton died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1993, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Mapleton with the Rev. Stephen Root officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with military honors conducted by Loren Hollister Post 496, American Legion of Mapleton. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Mr. Price was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Ute, the son of William and Dora (Pedersen) Price. He married Lavina Larson Nov. 6, 1946, in Ute. He lived his entire life in Mapleton, except for one year at Soldier. He was a truck driver for Sioux City Motor; managed Green Bay Lumber Yard at Mapleton and Soldier; operated the Ready Mix Concrete Plant at Mapleton and Soldier and started his own business, Everett Price Trucking in 1959. Mrs. Price died Sept. 23, 1993.

Mr. Price was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie and her husband, Gary Johnson of Ida Grove; a son, Mike and his wife, Kathee of Mapleton; three sisters, Vesta and her husband, Arnold Melby of Soldier, Grace Wheeler of Longview, Texas, and Erna and her husband, Fidell Wadsworth of Moville; and two grandchildren, Corey and Caree Price.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
