Albert L. Hanson, 92, Turin, Iowa died suddenly at Burgess Health Center Sunday, June 19, 2005.

Albert was born December 25, 1912, on the family
farm at Turin, the son of Andrew and Anna (Lund)
Hanson. He attended Beaver Creek Country School and has lived his entire life at Turin.

He married Irene Baity April 1950 at the First
Christian Church in Onawa. The couple made their home near Turin.

Albert was a lifelong farmer and found farming to be both his work and fun. Still at the age of 92, he was able to plant and care for his garden.

Survivors include his wife, Irene of Turin; two sons, Leonard Hanson of Decatur, NE and Ron Hanson of Turin; an adopted son, Chris and his wife Sheri Hanson of Spencer, IA; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Hanson; a granddaughter, a sister, Annie and three brothers, Arvid, Emil and an infant.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Dennis Olsen officiating. Adair Kaehlar sang, "Beyond The Sunset" and "Amazing Grace". Burial was in Belvidere Cemetery.

Visitation was from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until service time.

Casket bearers were Grant Mann, Terry Mann, Keith Carlson, Duane Fredrickson, Larry Lamb, and Harold Johnston. Honorary bearers were Larry Crosgrove, Gene Martindale and Ernest Nutt.
