Daniel R. "Stump" Webster, 67, of Onawa, Iowa died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Rush Family Chapel, Onawa, Iowa led by Harold Johnston. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery, rural Turin, Iowa with Military Honors by the 185th Air Refueling Wing-Air National Guard. A luncheon and fellowship time will be held at the Onawa Country Club following the committal service. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Rush Family Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service, Onawa, Iowa.

Daniel Richard Webster was born December 27, 1946 in Onawa, Iowa the son of Chauncey and Mary (Clark) Webster. He was raised in the Castana and Onawa, Iowa areas. He participated in football, baseball, and FFA while in school and graduated from Onawa High School in 1965.

He enlisted in the 185th Tactical Fighter Wing with the Air National Guard in August of 1965 and served for thirty-six years. Dan's military service brought him to many countries including: Vietnam, Kuwait, Germany, Panama and Curacao. He retired August 24, 2001 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.

Dan enjoyed trap shooting, scuba diving, watching his grandchildren participating in sporting events, playing fast pitch softball for over 15 years, fishing, waterfowl hunting, and was a master with a duck call.

Dan was a member and involved in many activities including the NRA, Sioux City Trap and Skeet, Midwest Diving, and was an avid Ducks Unlimited supporter.

Survivors include his daughter, Erin (Eric) Baker of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; grandchildren, Isaac, Haley, Ethan, and Reagan; three sisters, Elizabeth Anne Stockfleth of Onawa, Iowa, Claudine (Harold) Johnston of Onawa, Iowa, Mary Kathleen (John) Manning of Sioux City, Iowa; one brother, John (Cathy Miller) Webster of Whiting, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chauncey and Mary Webster; and brother, Chauncey Dean Webster.
