Georgia Ann (Carroll) Schoenherr passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 25 days. She was born in Monona County, November 5, 1932, to George Robert and LaVerne Chase Carroll. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School at Spirit Lake, Iowa May 25,1951.

On October 27, 1954, Georgia was united in marriage to Norman Schoenherr at Worthington, Minnesota. The couple moved to Alton, Illinois and worked around the St. Louis area for 27 years. They returned to live in the Onawa, Iowa area in 1982. They were married for 43 years until Norman's death March 20, 1998. After Norman's death, Georgia lived at Center Heights in Onawa where she developed many close friendships.

She is survived by her brother, Donald and wife Helen Carroll of Pocahontas, Illinois along with other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband Norman, parents, and sister, Joyce Nichols.

Graveside Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mapleton, Iowa with Dan Bennett officiating.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Arrangements were by Armstrong Funeral Service, Mapleton.
