Mrs. Ethel Taylor

Mrs. Ethel Carrie Taylor, a, former resident of the Onawa community, died Sunday, November 15, at LaMesa, Calif., where she had made her home since 1936.

Mrs. Taylor was born at Onawa on February 6, 1885 and at the time of her death was 79 years, nine months and nine days of age.

She was united in marriage to Frank G. Taylor on January 28, 1905 at Onawa. Her home was in this community until 1929 when she moved to Sioux City and lived there seven years, until going to California.

Mr. Taylor died in 1930. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Alien.

During her residence in Onawa, she was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son, Marshall of National City, Calif.; and two daughters, Mrs. June Adelblue of Portland, Ore. and Miss Frances Taylor of San Diego, Calif. There are four grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

The funeral service was held at 2 p. m. Saturday, November 21 at the Pearson funeral chapel in Onawa. Rev. Everett Epperson conducted the service. Mrs. Oliver Kelley provided organ selections.

Casket bearers were Charles Kelly, Raymond McNeill, Fred Beedle, John Paine, Art Anderson and Wayne Riggs. Interment was in the Onawa cemetery.
