Sarah Uhl, 92, One of Oldest Mapleton Resident, is Dead

Funeral services were held on Monday for Mrs. Sarah Uhl, 92 one of Mapleton's oldest residents who died Thursday after a lengthy Illness.

Services were held at 9:30 a. m. at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. A. H. Ocken reading; the funeral mass. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mrs. Uhl was born in 1862 in eastern Iowa. She came to the Mapleton area nine years later and resided here for the remaining 83 years.

Married in 1880, she became a widow in 1911 when her husband Anton, died.

Survivors include four sons; 37 grandchildren; 90 great grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren—Mapleton Press
