Beulah J. Vinson, 78, died Wednesday at a Council Bluffs Hospital.

Born in Moorhead, she was a World War II veteran, serving with the Women's Army Corps. Her husband, N.B. Vinson, died in World, War II.

Mrs. Vinson taught school in Missouri Valley from 1944 to 1952 and at Edison Junior High School from 1952 until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Central Congregation; a lifetime member of the Iowa State Education Association; the Iowa and Council Bluffs Retired Teachers Association; Chapter GQ of PEO Sisterhood and the Moorhead American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her nieces, Letha Miller of Omaha and Kay Salters of Ridgecrest, California;' several great nieces and nephews, and Helen Donovan, her friend with whom she lived since 1954.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at the RLDS Church, Central Congregation. Floyd Vanier, elder of the church, officiated. Burial was in the Spring Valley Cemetery in Moorhead.

Family visitation was Thursday, at Meyer Funeral Home.
