HORNICK, Iowa -- Bonnie J. Allen, 62, of Hornick died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rush Family Chapel in Onawa, Iowa, with the Rev. Karen Handke officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Mapleton, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bonnie was born Sept. 28, 1940, in Onawa, the daughter of Leonard and Tootie (Docken) Karr. She attended Onawa High School.

She married Jim Allen on Sept. 21, 1957, in Onawa. The couple had farmed near Hornick since 1976. Jim passed away Nov. 15, 1990, in Sioux City.

Survivors include two sons, Bryan and his wife, Kim of Le Mars, Iowa, and Gary of Rodney, Iowa; four grandchildren, Kristi, Shawn, Steven and Samantha Jo Allen; and two sisters, Betty Wolaver of Onawa, and Phyllis and her husband, Clair Horsley of California.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bud and Veta Allen.
