19 April 1946Mrs. W. T. Ash, 66, 2508 S. Alice street, died Thursday evening at a hospital after an illness of six weeks.
She was born February 27, 1880, at Arcadia, Ia., and had resided at Charter Oak , Danbury and Mapleton, Ia., before coming to Sioux City in 1905. She was married December 28, 1898, at Mapleton, Ia., to Mr. Ash. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian church.
Survivors besides the widower are two sons, Kenneth and Dale, both of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Cecil Baird of Hinton, Ia., Mrs. Franklin Jenkins of Sioux City, and Mrs. Albert Reitz of Mapleton; a brother, Anton Powell of Mapleton and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Saturday in the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside. Rev. Allan McColl of Westminster Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in the cemetery at Mapleton.
