Jimmy "Lynn" Johnson, 55, of Onawa, Iowa died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Memorial services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Rush Family Chapel in Onawa with Pastor John Sears, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Lynn was born on March 8, 1959 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended West Monona Community Schools. He served in the United States Army from 1976 until his honorable discharge in 1977.

He then moved back to Onawa and was employed at various construction jobs. He was also owner/operator of Johnson Lawn Service.

Lynn and Mary Chase were united in marriage on June 7, 1980 in Onawa, Iowa.

He was a member of the Classics Car Club in Onawa and enjoyed working on cars. He enjoyed his wife, kids, and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Johnson of Onawa, IA; three sons, Terry Johnson of Woodbine, IA, Wayne Johnson of Onawa, IA, Zachary Johnson of Onawa, IA; two daughters, Stephanie (Richard) Linfor of Omaha, NE, Chelsea Johnson of Onawa, IA; six grandchildren, Sarah, Jade, Lillie, Jamison, Diane, Harper, his mother, Georgia Martin of Onawa, IA; two sisters, Lissa (Mike) Christensen of Onawa, IA, Wanda (Phillip) Moore of Onawa, IA; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George & Josephine Clapper; two aunts, Doris Schaffer & Ruth Johnson, three uncles, Joe Schaffer, George Clapper, Jr., & Ronald Wilder; nephew, Dustin Moore, and a cousin, Timmy Wilder.
