26 March 2014Phyllis Louise (Myers) Dale, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 18, 2014.
Born in Onawa, Iowa on March 4, 1927, where she lived until attending the University of Nebraska where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She married the love of her life, Beech Dale, in 1947 and they lived in Detroit, Michigan; Columbus, Ohio; Sioux City, Iowa; and O'Neil, Nebraska, finally settling in Lincoln to raise their family.
Phyllis was a wonderful mother, community volunteer, card player, baker, traveler, dancer and a helpmate to her husband's and son's careers.
Phyllis is survived by Beech, her beloved husband of 67 years, her children Debora, Cristy and David, daughter-in-law Katy, and her grandchildren Logan, Nathan, Alida, Alexandra and Lauren.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Butherus, Maser & Love, 4040 A Street. Visitation will be from 11am - 9pm Wednesday & 9am -9pm Thursday with family present 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be given to the Veterans' Memorial Garden in Lincoln.
