27 April 1946Funeral Rites for Whiting Resident to Be on Sunday
Whiting, Ia.—Special: The funeral of Mrs. Retta Cockerton, 63, who died in her home here Thursday, will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in the Methodist church.
Interment will be in the Harrison cemetery here. The Pearson funeral home of Onawa has charge of arrangements.
She had resided in Monona county for 35 years. She was a member of the Methodist church here and also of the church's auxiliary.
Mrs. Cockerton was born March 14, 1883, in Russellville, Tenn.
Surviving are four brothers, Bud Courtney of Mohawk, Tenn.; Dee Courtney of Onawa; Jesse of Whiting, and Robert of Lake Wilson, Minn
