UTE MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL HERE AFTER OPERATION

Ute, Ia.—Special: Ernest A. ("Andy") Engelke, 52, died early Saturday morning in a Sioux City hospital following an operation. Mr. Engelke was born in St. Clair township, Monona county, and lived here all his life. He served overseas in world war 1. He operated an oil station here on highway 141.

Funeral services, with the Aaby American Legion post in charge, will be held Tuesday at 2 o'clock in the Lutheran church here.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Edna Bartels Engelke, and two daughters, Mrs. Velma Jones and Mrs. Thelma Thompson. An only son, Ralph A. E. Engelke, was killed in the present war last June in France. Several brothers and sisters also survive.
