FORMER UTE WOMAN SUCCUMBS TO STROKE ON HOLIDAY VISIT

Ute, Ia.—Special: Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Thompson,53, of Des Moines, who died in a hospital here early Sunday morning, will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Ute Christian church. Interment will be in St. Clair cemetery here.

Mrs. Thompson suffered a stroke Friday evening as she prepared to board a train for Des Moines.

She had been a holiday guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Steele, in Ute. A resident of Ute most of her life, she was born on a farm near
here. She was a past matron of the Ute chapter of Order of Eastern Star, a member of the American Legion auxiliary and the Ute Christian church.

Survivors are the widower, Fred Thompson of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Steele; two sons, Robert F. stationed with the air corps at Morris field, N. C., and John H. at home; a brother, Donald Wielkins of Santa Fe, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Marion Larson of Richmond, Cal., and two grandChildren.
