R.L."Dick"Jones 79

Dick Jones, 79, passed away May 20, 2011, at the VA Hospital. He was born December 28, 1931, the son of Robert and Malvina Jones of Ute, Iowa.

Dick attended the Ute "School graduating from there and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dick was an avid NASCAR fan (Jeff Gordon). He enjoyed traveling, camping and motorcycles.

Dick is survived by son, Doug (Deb), Dennis (Lisa), David (Rhonda), Daryl (Rhonda); daughter, Denise (Larry) Rogers; stepchildren, Rick (Lindsey) Fitch, Deb (Craig) Roberg, Scott (Teddy) Fitch, 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers ,"James (Elaine), Robert (LaMoile), Daniel (Mary); sisters, Isabel (Cliff) Stuewe, Noreen (Fred) Clayton and Alice (Richard) Rogerson; many nephews and nieces. , He is proceeded in death by his wives, Donna Jones and Beverly Jones; his parents; and brother, Royce Jones.

Funeral services will be 11:00 ,a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
