Terry Joe Pape was born July 28, 1950, the son of Chester Joseph and Opal Ruth Hundahl Pape. He died Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa at the age of 56.

Terry was born in Onawa, Iowa and was raised on a farm between Moorhead and Pisgah. He received his education in the East Monona schools, graduating with the class of 1969.

After graduation, he was united in marriage to Mary Evers and they were blessed with the birth of two daughters, Kim and Brenda. The couple made their home in rural Moorhead where he farmed.

In 1974, he was united in marriage to Becky Edmonds and they were blessed with the birth of three children, Tara, Katrina and Gabe.

Terry worked as at truck driver in addition to farming. He was a loving son, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, deer hunting and mushroom hunting. He also loved going to races and gardening and was looking forward to working with his nephew Kelly Bothwell in his landscaping and lawn business.

He was, preceded in death by his father, Chet.

He is survived by four daughters, Kim Cvach and her husband, Russell of Midland, SD; Brenda Noll and her husband Bryan of Sioux City, IA; Tara Wakehouse and her husband, Robert of Woodbine, IA; Katrina Pape and her friend, Ray Showers of Avoca, IA; and Gabe Pape and his special friend, Randi Bissen of Shelby, IA; seven grandchildren, Casey, Colter and Justina Cvach; Brylee and Brayden Noll; and Caleb and Maya Wakehouse; his mother, Opal of Moorhead; four sisters, Judy Kuhlman and her husband, Norman; Nancy McCue and her husband, Gary; Dixie Hageman; and Peggy Bothwell and her husband, Tom; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services were held at the Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Iowa on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Carla Ingebretsen officiating. Janice Smith played the selections: "How Great Thou Art", "In The Garden", and "On Eagles Wings".

Pall Bearers were Janie Evers, Jane Renz, Becky Marcum, Janice Smith, Lori Wakehouse, Cindy Weed, Kerry Carrigan, and Christy Moline.

Honorary Bearers were Dennis Marcum, Byron Hinkel, Bryan Hinkel, Brandon Shearer, Mark Bryceson, Duane Renz, and Casey Simpson.

Interment was in Spring Valley Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa with arrangements by Fouts Funeral Home.
