DOUGLAS K. MORONEY

Funeral services were held for Douglas K. Moroney at the Meyer Funeral home in Council Bluffs, Monday, November 2, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating was Rev. Clemens Hartfield. Music was by Fred Schroeder and Joanne Hartfield. Pallbearers were Brian Hebb, Mike Moroney, Greg Moroney, Dave Moroney, Scott Moroney and Kevin Moroney. Interment was at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs.

Doug was born September 17, 1960, to Joseph and Betty Moroney and died from injuries due to a motorcycle accident, October 30, 1987. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1979 and also from Western Iowa Community College in Auto Mechanics. Doug had just completed his commercial license in Heating and Air Conditioning from Universal Technical Institute in Omaha, October 29, 1987. He was employed at McCarthy Heating and Air Conditioning in Omaha.

Doug married Debbie Hebb, daughter of Bill and Ruby Hebb, on February 15, 1986, in the R.L.D.S Church in Pisgah, Ia. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; parents, Joseph and Betty Moroney of Council Bluffs; sister, Teri Ann Moroney of Council Bluffs; brothers, Michael of Fort Wayne, Ind., Greg of Aurora, Colo., David and Scott of Council Bluffs, and Kevin of Kirksville, Mo.; grandmothers, Mrs. Irene Neujahr of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Helen Moroney of Santa Clara, Calif.; nephew and niece, Andrew and Alana Allen of Kansas City, Mo.
