VIVIAN C. EMGE

Vivian C. Emge, 76, of Bennington, Nebr., formerly of Salix, died Sunday, October 25, 1987, in Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebr.

She was born January 5, 1911, at Dunlap, Iowa, to John and Lilly Mae (Rose) Terrell. On March 8, 1930, she married Wilbur R. Emge, at Denison. The couple lived on a farm at Woodbine before moving to Salix where they lived for more than 50 years. He died August 4, 1980. She had been a resident of Bennington since July 1985.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church at Salix and the Senior Citizens Group of Bennington.

Survivors include: one daughter, Shana Emge of Omaha; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Betty of Broomfield, Colo.; one daughter-in-law, Julie Emge of Salix; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilbur; two sons, Robert and Richard; one sister, Virgie; and two brothers, Harvey and Bob.

A Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 1987, in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Salix with Reverend Father Raymond P. Wieling, Mass Celebrant. Mary Ellen Dahl was the organist.

Bearers were William Danker, Tom Ullrich, Rob Kranz, Edward Lamoureux, Tom Renz and Kevin Clayton.

Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa, with arrangements by the Wood Funeral Home, Sloan.
