HELEN M. FYOCK

Helen M. Fyock, 69, died in Coupeville, Washington, on June 22, 1987, following an extended illness.

She was born in Hancock, Iowa, on December 27, 1917, to Earl and Dorothea Fyock. Miss Fyock grew up in Onawa, Iowa, and graduated from the Onawa High School in 1936. She later moved to Sioux City where she was employed as a secretary in medical records at a doctor’s office for several years. She then moved to Emeryville, California, where she was employed as a file clerk, retiring in 1972. She and her brother, Dean, traveled for many years following this time and finally settled in Oak Harbor, Wash., two years ago.

She is survived by her brother, Dean Fyock, of Oak Harbor, Wash.; one niece, Mrs. Deann Terrell of Oak Harbor, Wash.; one nephew, Mr. Jac Fyock of Sioux City, Ia.; several cousins, including Bob Ross, Lyle Ross, Bonnie-Jean Crosley, Duane Wicker, Lewis Wicker, Vernon Wicker and Frederick Wicker, all of Iowa. She was preceded in death by one brother, Voyle Eugene “Fy” Fyock, who owned and operated the Hawkeye Tackle Company.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 25, 1987, at 2:00 p.m. at Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor, Washington, with burial following at Sunnyside Cemetery, Coupeville, Washington.
