DELMAR RILEY

Delmer M. “Cotton” Riley, 64, of Joplin, Mo., died Tuesday, June 23, 1987, after a sudden illness.

Mr. Riley was born July 12, 1922, at Turin. He moved to Joplin in 1950. He retired in 1974 after 23 years as a locksmith and gunsmith for Ace-Vaughn Locksmith in Joplin. He made violins for several years. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He married Dixie Willis on January 21, 1967.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Johnnie Frost, of Norman, Okla., Ronnie Frost of Joplin, Mo., and Donnie Frost at home; three daughters, Patty Brewer of Lowell, Kans., Donna Stover of Carl Junction, Mo., and Joni Boykin, of Joplin, Mo.; two brothers, Alva Riley of Onawa and Erwin Riley of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Nina Rush of Red Oak and Violet Allen of Oroville, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
