MICHELLE WATTERS

Services for Michelle Lea Watters, 16 of Des Moines were held Wednesday, April 15, 1987 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home in Des Moines at 2:30 p.m. She died Saturday, April 11, 1987 of Leukemia at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Officiating at the service was Pastor Ray Hock of the Brethren Church in Christ. Lois Hoksbergen was the organist and Jerold Morris the soloist.

Honorary pallbearers were Scott Woodward and Steve Blume. Active pallbearers were Mike Van Houten, Mark Van Houten, Ronnie Bainter, Barry Thomas, Kurt Walker and Matt Brown.

Miss Watters, a sophomore at Saydel High School, was a life-long resident of Des Moines. She had been a member of the high school softball, volleyball and basketball varsity teams.

Survivors include her parents, Marcia and Phillip of Des Moines; a brother, Wade, and a sister, Angela, both at home; her grandparents, Pearl and Dorrance Woodward of Moorhead and Juanita and Bud Nuckolls of Des Moines. She is a niece of Robert Woodward of Woodward.
