RUTH B. HEISLER

Ruth B. Heisler, Blencoe, Iowa, died Saturday, April 11, 1987, in Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa, following a long illness. Death came at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 4 days.

She was born in Onawa on July 7, 1926, the daughter of George and Margaret (Hogancamp) Cole. She married Arthur Heisler May 4, 1946, in Hiawatha, Kansas. She traveled with her husband while he served in the U. S. Navy. The couple had lived at Blencoe since September 1970.

Ruth was a member of Eagles Auxiliary No. 2270.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur, of Blencoe; two daughters, Sandra Heisler, of Sioux City, and Mrs. John (Carol) Mulcahey of Charlestown, West Va.; a son, Richard, of Cora, West Va.; four brothers, Robert Cole, of Canon City, Colo., Keith Cole, of Hobe Sound, Fla., George Cole, of Onawa and Jerry Cole, of Hiawatha, Kans.; two sisters, Mrs. George (Louise) Stanton, of Onawa and Mrs. Willie (Susie) Hanks, of Scranton, Ia.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Myron; and two sisters, Mary and Katherine.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1987, at the First Christian Church, Onawa, Iowa, with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. The organist was Mrs. Vince Phillips and the soloist, Mrs. Fred Gibson, sang, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art”.

Casket bearers were Keith Richardson, John McCord, Jim Maxwell, Ronald Heisterkamp, Charles Richardson and Kenneth Richardson.

Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery, Blencoe, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
