MABEL L. ANDERSON

Mabel L. Anderson, 97, of Columbus, Kansas, formerly of Moorhead, died April 15, 1987, in a nursing home in Columbus.

She was born February 9, 1890, in Turin, Iowa, to Grant and Lucy (Crabb) Mann. She married Leonard Anderson. He died December 24, 1949, and was a former resident of Moorhead, Sioux City, Scammon, Kansas, and had lived the last 3 ½ years at Columbus.

She was a member of the Moorhead Christian Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Avrill of Portland, OR, and Wendell of Omaha, NE; one sister, Opal Mann of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and seven great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Mardelle Grant.

Graveside funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 1987, at Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa, with Rev. John McGee officiating and Rev. Gordon Quitt officiating. Mrs. Fred Gibson sang, “How Great Thou Art” and “The Lord’s Prayer”. Casket bearers were Grandsons.

Interment was in the Belvidere Cemetery, Turin, Iowa, with arrangements by Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
