Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Edith Worrell

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Worrell, 67, of Whiting, Ia., a former school teacher who passed away Saturday at the Onawa Hospital following a brief illness were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Whiting Congregational Church. Rev. Dwight Snesrud officiated and burial was in the Harrison cemetery near Whiting under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Worrell was born April 27, 1893 at Onawa. A graduate of the Onawa Schools, she taught rural school at Ute, Ia, and public schools at Turin, Ia. and Blencoe, Ia. She was married to Harold C Worrell on December 25, 1915, at Onawa, Iowa. They have resided in Whiting since then. Mrs. Worrell was a member of the Congregational Church and was past matron of Lodge 470, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include the widower, a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Clayton of Jacksonville, Fla,: a son Robert T. of Grand Junction, Colo: two sisters, Mrs. C.W. Harrison of Aloha, Oregon and Mrs. Glen Chapman of Blencoe; and three brothers, Carl Tillson of Sacramento, Calif, David Tillson of Tacoma, Wash and Rufus Tillson of Browns Valley, Minn.
