MAUDE B. BURGER

Maude B. Burger, 93, formerly of Blencoe, Iowa, died on March 2, 1987, in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa, following a brief illness.

She was born on September 21, 1893, in Monona County, Iowa, the daughter of George and Cassie (McCullick) Zortman. She married William Burger. He died in 1949 at Blencoe. She was a resident of the Onawa and Blencoe area until moving to Sioux City in 1972.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Russ (Betty) Hinkel of Sioux City; a grandson and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Sherman Zortman.

Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 1987, at Graceland Cemetery at Blencoe with Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa.
