GEORGE L. CLAPPER

George Lloyd Clapper, Jr., Onawa, Iowa, died on February 21, 1987, in Marian Health Center in Sioux City, Iowa, after a brief illness. Death came at the age of 41 years, seven months and ten days.

He was born at Onawa, Iowa, on July 11, 1945, the son of George Lloyd Clapper, Sr. and Josephine (Larson) Clapper. He was a lifetime area laborer.

Survivors include a brother, Jim of Minneapolis and four sisters, Georgia Leone Martin, Ruth Lorraine Johnson, Mrs. Ronald (Norma) Wilder and Mrs. Joe (Doris) Schafer, all of Onawa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 1987, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev Duane Lundberg officiating. Mrs. Jack Jordan, the organist, played “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In The Garden”.

Bearers were Beze Clark, Jr., Robert Perry, David Lundin, Ralph Bean, Ed Komarek and Johnny Johnson.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
