DEON WARREN HOFFMAN

Deon Warren Hoffman, 10, of Glenwood State Hospital School, formerly of Missouri Valley, died January 31, 1987, at the University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

He was born June 20, 1976, at Missouri Valley, Iowa, to Donald W. and Patsy (Fahrenkrug) Hoffman. He had been a resident of the Glenwood State Hospital School in Glenwood for the past five years. He was a baptized member of the First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley.

He is survived by his parents, Don and Patsy Hoffman, of Missouri Valley; two brothers, Dan and David, at home; one sister, Sarah, at home; his paternal grandparents, Harry and Dorothy Hoffman of Onawa; his maternal grandparents, Don and Marcella Fahrenkrug of Carson, Ia.; foster grandmothers at Glenwood, Thelma Delavan and Evelyn Mather, both of Glenwood; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends of children with special needs.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 1987, at the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa, Iowa, with Pastor James Murray officiating. The organist was Kenneth Amunson.

Bearers were Brian Bentley, Eric Falk, Bruce Bentley, Kevin Falk, Jeff Fahrenkrug and David Fahrenkrug.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery at Onawa, Iowa, with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home, Onawa.
