Nora "Carrol" Boyer, 80, of Blencoe, Iowa died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

A Memorial and Celebration Of Life Service will be 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Blencoe Community Center, Blencoe, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Nora "Carrol" was born on December 22, 1933 in Orson, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Velma Rea (Heistand) Vredenburgh. She grew up in Pisgah, IA and graduated from West Harrison High School. She then moved to Omaha, NE where she worked at various jobs.

Carrol and Harold E. Boyer were united in marriage on April 15, 1977 at Missouri Valley, IA. The couple lived in Omaha for four to five years and then they moved to Blencoe, IA where they have made their home ever since.

Carrol was a bookkeeper for Harold's trucking business Boyer Trucking and also enjoyed driving trucks for him.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking, flowers, and gardening. She made great fudge, divinity, and apple pies. She was affiliated with the Latter Day Saints Church in Pisgah.

Survivors include her husband, Harold, of Blencoe, IA; her children, Ann (Pat) Fleming of Surprise, AZ, Reynaldo Teodoro of Phoenix, AZ, Roger Teodoro of Blencoe, IA, Edmond (Liz) Teodoro of Onawa, IA, Linda L. Kelley of Onawa, IA, and Jimmy H. Boyer of Blytheville, AR; grandchildren, Lacey Ebert of Surprise, AZ, Sean Fleming of Surprise, AZ, Erin Lindblad of Omaha, NE, Joshua Teodoro of Chicago, IL, Reyna Clincher of Omaha, NE, Zana Teodoro of Peoria, AZ, and Jayden Teodoro of Peoria, AZ; great-grandchildren, Casie Hill of Surprise, AZ, Brody Ebert of Surprise, AZ, Cody Ebert of Surprise, AZ, and Cameron Lindblad of Omaha, NE; a sister, Susanna Birks of Jacksonville, FL.; a brother-in-law, Jack Boyer of Killeen TX; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Madsen of Salt Lake City, UT.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar & Velma Rea (Heistand) Vredenburgh; sisters, Vera Blunt-Nelson, Zora Crabb, and Ruby Siebles; brothers, Rex Vredenburgh and Ray Vredenburgh; and brother-in-law, Elmer (Ruby) Siebles.
