FERNE J. ANDREWS

Ferne Juanita Andrews, 74, Onawa, Iowa, died on Sunday, January 11, 1987, in Elmwood Nursing Home in Onawa following a long illness.

She was born at Kensington, Kansas, on March 21, 1912, the daughter of Rossco and Mae (Stamey) LeFevre. She graduated from high school in Kansas City. She graduated from beauty school in Kansas City and was a beautician until her marriage to Donald Andrews, January 19, 1939, at Hill City, Kansas. The couple moved to Onawa in 1943. Mr. Andrews died April 10, 1976, at Onawa. Ferne was formerly employed at Ford Apparel and the Onawa Public Library.

Survivors include Gilbert and Kathleen Gotto of Castana and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 1987, at the Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa with Rev. Jerry Quandt officiating.

Bearers were William Murdock, Kenneth Murdock, Jr., Rick Reiners, Charles Carritt, Gilbert Gotto and James Grimmer.

Interment was in the Onawa Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral home, Onawa, Iowa.
