3 August 2006SLOAN, Iowa -- Esther Marie Conway, 83, of Sloan died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa, where she had been a resident for two months.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa, Iowa, with Tom Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa.
Esther was born Feb. 12, 1923, in Sloan, the daughter of Hawking and Helga (Lorntson) Christianson. She grew up in the Sloan community and attended Sloan schools.
She was married to Henry "Hank" Conway Sr. on Dec. 30, 1941, in Pender, Neb. She lived all of her life in the Sloan community.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, crocheting and visiting at Pleasant View Care Center.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Henry and Barb (Engel) Conway Jr. of Whiting, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband in 1999.
