DIED— At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. O'Connor, Friday, May 20, 1898 at 3:00 o'clock, p.m. Mrs. Sarah Zediker, aged 76 years and 5 mouths, from dropsy of the heart.

Mrs. Zediker was born in England and came to this country, with her parents, when at the age of nine years, and located in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. In the year 1844 she was married to George Zediker, and emigrated to Iowa in 1850, making their home for many years in Jackson county. In 1884 they located in Monona County, on a farm northeast of town, where they lived at peace with everyone, and highly esteemed by their neighbors. Mr. Zediker died just three years and two days previous to his wife.

The deceased was the mother of six children, three sons and three daughters, all of whom are now living, and are residents of this section except T. J. Zediker, whose home is in Oklahoma.

Funeral services were conducted from the M. E. church, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, by Rev. E. S. Johnson, and the remains laid to rest in Heisler cemetery.
