Henry J. Schneekloth, son of Wilhelm and Anna Schneekloth, was born March 17, 1880 in Germany and died Saturday, Sept. 8, 1962 at Turin following a long illness. He was 82 years, five months and 21 days old.

Mr. Schneekloth came to the United States with his parents at the age of 11 and settled on a farm in Monona County. In 1925 he moved into the town of Mapleton where he resided for the remainder of his life. He was baptized in Germany and was confirmed in the United Church of Christ in Mapleton. He was a charter member of the United Church of Christ here.

Survivors include: three sisters, Mrs. John Passick, Anna Schneekloth and Mrs. A. W. Christianson all of Mapleton. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

Services were held Monday, Sept 10, 1962 at 9:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ with Rev. E. G. Otte officiating. Pallbearers were: Floyd Marsh, Herman Schneekloth Jr., Art Gosch, Harold Schneekloth, Clarence Mohr and H. D. Passick. Burial was in Heisler cemetery' under the direction of the Walter funeral home.
