The dead body of Benjamin Rohmiller, who died on Sunday evening, July 18, at St. Joseph's hospital, Sioux City, was brought back Monday noon and taken to the home north of town and the funeral postponed until Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, awaiting the arrival of his brother from Oklahoma.

Mr. Rohmiller was a native of Germany, having been born at Oberkups, Germany, June 26, 1870. He came to this country in 1891, and remained for four years thereafter in the employ of Joseph Hieber, whose daughter, Miss Kate Hieber; he married April 1, 1894. They resided on different places in this community until a few years ago he purchased the home farm on which they have since prosperous and contentedly lived.

He was an honest, hard-working man and held the confidence and esteem of a largo circle of friends.

The Wife and seven children are left to fight the battles of life that befall the lot of the widow-and orphan, although by no means in poor, circumstances, as we .understand they have the farm well cleared besides an insurance policy which he held in the M.W.A. Lodge, and of which he was an honored member. A brother, Nick Rohmiller of Harper, Okla., and a sister Geo. Ultsch, of this place, constitute the near relatives.

Funeral ceremonies were conducted yesterday afternoon from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rev. A.J. Wagener officiating, the remains being followed to Heisler Cemetery by a long and sorrowing procession of relatives, friends and neighbors.
