13 June 1918The funeral of Mrs. Emil Peterson of Gregory, S. D. was held here Thursday of last week. Mrs. Peterson was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Muckey, one time residents of Mapleton.
Her father preceded her in death just a few weeks. Mrs. Peterson who's death was very sudden leaves her husband and five children, her mother and several of her brothers and her husband attended the services here which were held at St. John’s M.E. Church. The interment was in the Heisler Cemetery.
