August 29, 2012ONAWA, Iowa | Brittany Molly Meyer, 20, of Onawa passed away Aug. 26, 2012, due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hornick United Methodist Church in Hornick, Iowa, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, Rodney, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.
Brittany Molly was born on Aug. 11, 1992, in Sioux City, the daughter of Randy Meyer and Velma and Tina Grell. She attended grade school at Westwood Community Schools in Sloan, Iowa, and graduated from Whiting (Iowa) High School in 2010. She was a National Honor Society member and completed classes at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City and received scholarships from that school.
She was currently attending Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Neb., and was studying to be a veterinarian. She worked at Cutco Knife Co. and was an RASA at the college.
Brittany was baptized at Hornick United Methodist Church and also attended the Whiting Christian Church. She loved hanging out with her friends and spending quality time with Nick, the love of her life to whom she was promised. She loved animals, including her animals Tiga, Sunshine, and Max.
Brittany is survived by her mothers, Velma and Tina Grell of Onawa; her father, Randy Meyer of Climbing Hill, Iowa; four siblings, Brandon Meyer, Clayton Nelson, Emma Nelson, and Abigail Nelson, all at home in Onawa; and her promised love, Nick Ramold.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Arnold and Velma Grell and Jean Igou; great-grandparents, Bill and Helen Meyer and Dorothy and Roy Ford; an uncle, Matt Grell; and an aunt, Bonnie Jacoby.
