Mrs. ALBERT PAULEY DIES AT Home HERE
HAD BEEN IN FAILING HEALTH FOR YEARS — RESIDENT OF MONONA COUNTY SINCE 1832

Mrs. Albert Pauley, a resident of Monona County since 1882, died at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning at her home in Mapleton after having been critically ill since Sunday.

Although Mrs. Pauley had suffered from leakage of the heart for years, her condition did not become alarming until several days before her passing. She was conscious to the end.

Before her marriage, Mrs. Pauley was Miss Sarah Lizzer. She was born in Stevenson County, Illinois, July 29, 1857. She was married to Mr. Pauley in Marion County, Iowa, May 17, 1877.
Five years later the couple moved to Monona County, living first at Ute and later on a farm near Mapleton. The family moved to Mapleton 25 years ago.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Pauley is survived by six children, who are: C.W. Pauley, of Sioux City; Mrs. E. A. Bradfield, of Mapleton; Mrs. C. U. Johns, of Sioux City; J. L. Pauley, of Mapleton; Mrs. Leo Shay, of Sioux City; Miss Winnie Pauley, of Mapleton.

Other survivors are three brothers and three sisters. They are: Louis Allen Lizzer, of Concordia, Kans.; William Lizzer, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Jesse Lizzer of Harrison county, lowa; Barbara Patrick, of Missouri; Cora Suffer of California, and Mrs. Lizzie Brown, of Montana.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at Trinity Memorial church with Rev. William Whittle officiating. Burial will be in Heisler cemetery.
