William Walter Mitchell, Born March 2, 1898, Died, December 15, 1915

It is sad to give up one whose influence would doubtless have been too good, who by precept and example was so well calculated to have spread abroad the influence of good living. Yet he that doeth all things well makes no mistaken. The human man snapped asunder on earth is forgotten in heaven. The yearning parents mourn not as one without hope it is true that when beautiful youth is gone not much remains, hence the dear one’s eyes are closed to all earthly trials in the springtime of his youth he passed to the glorious beyond.

Death is a hard master. He would take from us our brightest and one best but cannot mar our memory, its serves as a balm to our wounded hearts. May time bring its resignation and may the shores of eternity that receives his soul surround it with everlasting sunshine and flowers.

William Walter Mitchell the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mitchell died Wednesday evening, December 15, about 10 p.m. at the family residence on Fifth Street. Typhoid pneumonia is given as the cause of death. He was a member of the senior class of the local high school with which he was very popular and was also a member of the Presbyterian Church, with which he affiliated last July. The funeral services were at the Presbyterian Church and were conducted by the Rev. E M Smith.

Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery. (actually Heisler Cemetery)
