Mother of Mrs. Pauley Is Dead

Funeral Services Are Held in Methodist Church for Mrs. Alfrettis Lee

Funeral services for Mrs. Alfrettis Lee 7O-year-old mother of Mrs. Albert Pauley of Mapleton, who passed away Wednesday of last week in St Vincent's hospital in Sioux City, were held here Friday afternoon in the Methodist church.

Rev Scheldler, pastor of Riverside Methodist church in Sioux City, officiated in the absence of the regular pastor Ken H. J. Dane.

Interment was in Heisler cemetery under the direction of the Dyers Funeral home of Mapleton.

Sam Chapman, J. N. Etchison, A. C. Wiggs, Elmer Ivey, Perle Dawkins and H. A. Powell served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Bane and Miss Arlene Patrick sang “In the Garden" "Goodnight Here Good Morning Up There" and "Abide With Me." Mrs. Dale E. Vanderbur presided at the organ

Alfrettis Eugene Muckey daughter of Orlando and Mary Ann Muckey was born June 3, 1871 in Mapleton. She was married to Charles B. Lee July 29, 1888 in Mapleton. The family made their home in Sioux City m any years. Mr. Lee passed away two years ago.

Mrs. Lee had been an invalid the last six years, being confined for the most of the time to a wheelchair. On June 3, in apparently as good health as usual, she celebrated her 70th birthday with her twin sister. Mrs. Nettle Powell. On Friday of the same week she became ill and was taken to the hospital.

Mrs. Lee is survived by four sons Floyd, Theodore, Wayne and Charles of Sioux City, and four daughters, Mrs. Pauley of Mapleton, Mrs. Bob Moore of Sioux City, Mrs. Vergle Sampson of Chicago and Mrs. Clarence Ingle of Sioux City. There are 30 grandchildren and 13 great -grandchildren.

She also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Maggie McLean of Trail, British Columbia, Canada, Mrs. Powell of Sioux City and Mrs. Pearl Erlewlne of Mapleton, and one brother, Raymond Muckey living in Oregon.

Four children preceded their mother in death.
