Bert L Heisler Taken By Death

Well Known Painter Here Passes Away At Home
After Brief Illness

Funeral services for Bert Leroy Heisler, 62-year-old resident of Mapleton and brother of Mrs. Clyde Nepper of Mapleton, who passed away Friday in his home following; a brief illness of flu and complications, were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in his home. Rev. A. F. Schuldt, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Mrs. Schuldt sang.

Nephews of the deceased served as pallbearers. Interment was in Heisler cemetery under the direction of the Duschl Funeral home.

Mr. Heisler was born November 17, 1875, o n a farm just north of Mapleton and grew to manhood there. He was married to Miss Myrtle Kelly in 1896 a t Sac City.
From Sac City they moved to Mapleton where they resided several years before going to Sioux City to make their home.

In recent years Mr. Heisler made his home here with his mother. She preceded him in death in 1932. Since that time he has been living alone. He was a painter by trade.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Heisler of Long Beach, Cal., two sons, Henry and Alvie, both of Long Beach, and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Mont of South Gate. Cal.

He also is survived by one granddaughter, Shirley Mont of South Gate, two sisters. Mrs. Earl Pendleton of Panoka, Canada, and Mrs. Nepper of Mapleton, and three brothers, Fred Heisler of Beresford, S. D., J . R. Heisler of Blencoe and Earl Heisler of Sioux City.
