Mrs. Alberta Heisler was born November 17, 1877 (stone says 1876) in Guthrie County, Iowa and died Monday, August 7, 1961 at the age of 84 years, nine months and six days.

She came with her parents to Monona County and had lived at Mapleton 60 years.

She was married to Harry Heisler January 23, 1899.

Mrs. Heisler was a member of St John's Methodist church here.

Survivors include two sons, William of Cherokee and Gilbert of Mapleton; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Methodist church with Rev. Byron W. Ayers officiating.

Pallbearers were: Everett McCall, John Carlson, Ray Nelson, Glen Corbin, Steve Ernst and Peter Archer. Burial was in Heisler cemetery under the direction of the Walter Funeral Home.
