Mrs. Irma L. Davis, 60, of Smithland died Saturday, October 8, 1983, in a hospital in Onawa.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton. The Rev. Elmer Hodge officiated. Burial was in the Heisler Cemetery. There was a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Walter Funeral Home in Mapleton.

Mrs. Davis, the former Irma Culpepper, was born September 22, 1923, to Uhlind N. and Jennie (Pierce) Culpepper at New London, Connecticut. She married Dale Davis September 23, 1923 at New London. They made their home in Mapleton, Sioux City, returned to Mapleton, later moved to Denison, New Market, Danbury and the last two years in Smithland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her husband, Dale of Sioux City, Iowa; two sons, Dale of Demoore, California and Robert of Sioux City; three daughters, Mrs. Loral (Jennifer) Mitchell of Spencer, Mrs. Phil (Irma Kathleen) Hane of Climbing Hill and Mrs. Paul (Annabelle) Bumsted of Mapleton; one sister, Mrs. Richard (Agnes) Gilbert of San Diego, California, and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were: Terry Hane, Duane Davis, Rick Davis, Rick Mitchell, Donald
Davis and John Hinrickson.
