Funeral Held Friday For Girl Smothered To Death by Dirt

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Ticonic Methodist church for Phyllis Anderson 9-yenr-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anderson of Ticonic.

She was smothered to death when a dirt slide fell on her while she and her brother, Dean, 7 years old, were playing in n ditch near their home Wednesday of last week.

Rev. Tompkins, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was Grant cemetery near Ticonic with the Duschl Funeral home of Mapleton in charge.
