Victor Shaver, lifelong resident of Mapleton, died at his home Wednesday. June 21 He was 61.
Funeral services were held Sunday at St. John's Methodist church in Mapleton, with Rev. Eugene Hancock officiating. He was buried at Mount Hope cemetery.
Mr. Shaver was born September 26, 1891 at Mapleton. He married Myrtle Wolf in 1909 at Onawa.
He was a past member of the Woodmen of the World and Odd Fellows lodges. He was a merchant at Mapleton.
Survivors include his widow, a daughter, a. sister, two brothers, and two grandchildren.
