Erma L. Studyvin. 81, of Cherokee, Iowa, died Sunday, January 20, 1991, a t Hilltop Care Center in Cherokee after a long illness.

She was born September 15, 1909 in Rodney, Iowa, to Loren and Lulu (Carmen) Hewitt. She attended the Rodney School and had lived in Cherokee the last 18 years.

She was a member of United Methodist Church.

Survivors Include: 1 son, Dale Hall of Elk Point, South Dakota; 1 daughter, Mrs. Jack (Glennis) Daniels of Ida Grove, Iowa; 1 brother, Claire Hewitt of Rodney; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lee (Wanda) Ford of Mapleton, and Mrs. Don (Retha) Decker of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter.

Services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 23, 1991, at the Willman Funeral Home in Rodney with Pastor Karen Dearchs officiating. The organist, Ellen Harbeck, accompanied the soloist, Terry Reed, in the selection "How Great Thou Art".

Bearers were Jack Ford, Jan Hewitt, Jeff Hewitt, Jamie Hewitt, David Decker and Jay King.

Interment was in Grant Township Cemetery at Rodney with arrangements by the Willman Funeral Home, Rodney.
