9 November 1967Funeral services for Elmer Skow, 73, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ticonic Methodist Church. The Rev. W. Leonard Rowse officiated and burial was at the Grant Cemetery under the direction of the Willman Funeral Home of Rodney
Mr. Skow, a farmer, died unexpectedly Thursday Nov, 2, 1967 at the Onawa hospital. Mr. Skow was born February 7, 1894 near Rodney. He lived in this area most of his life except for a few years at Homer, Nebr. He married Anna M. Jensen Feb. 28, 1921 at Onawa.
Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Carrie) Johnston of Smithland; two sons Glen and John of Hornick; a sister Mrs. Hilda Hansen of Sioux City; two half-sisters, Mrs. Clarence Scott of Sioux City and Mrs. Frank Burkhart of Rodney; seven grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Elwood Nagel, Paul Cox, Orio Johnson, Leslie Maynard, Loren Blakely and Lyle Woodward.
