MRS. EMMA RIDDLE

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 11, 1966 at the United Church of Christ at Rodney for Mrs. Emma Riddle who passed away Feb. 8, 1966 at the Burgess Memorial Hospital at Onawa. Rev. Everett Epperson of Onawa and Pastor Carl Jensen officiated. Mrs. Maxine Mead was at the piano, and John and Vera Willmott of Oto sang. Pallbearers were Tracy Cleveland, Donald Kee, Lowell Aldrich, Jack Ford, Claire Hewitt and Leonard Vaught. Burial was in the Grant Twp. cemetery under the direction of the Willman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Riddle, the former Emma Isabel Foster was born Jan. 27, 1890 in Wenona, Ill. and moved to Monona County at the age of 10. She was married to Ingersol J. Riddle, Nov 27, 1912. He died Oct. 5, 1942. She was baptized in the First Christen Church in Onawa, la. in 1904. For the past 30 years she was a willing and dedicated servant of the United Church of Christ of Rodney, la.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Nelson of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Pauline Stueland of Onawa, Mrs. Eva Plantz of Ashland, Neb., and Mrs. Betty Wiksell of Knoxville, l a., three sons, Ralph of Bradyville, la., Robert of State College, Penn., and Donald of Iowa City; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Williams of Snohomish, Wash., and Mrs. Lucy Traver of Minneapolis, Minn.; two brothers, Willard Foster of Gayville, So. Dak. and Virgil of New York City, 27 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
