Edna Faye Wilson, 101, of Whiting, formerly of Des Moines, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Edna was born on Dec. 20, 1910, in rural Monroe County, Iowa, the daughter of Roe and Rosa (Lovell) States. Edna graduated from Georgetown High School with the class of 1929.

She was united in marriage with Dan Hembach in 1934 in Des Moines. Dan preceded her in death in 1948. In 1954, she married Glen Wilson in Des Moines. Glen also preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1973.

Edna worked as an accountant for construction companies, as well as being a homemaker and mother. She spent most of her life in the Des Moines area. She lived for a few years at Valley View Village in Des Moines, prior to moving to Whiting so she could be closer to her son.

She was of the Catholic faith. Edna enjoyed playing cards and board games with her friends and family.

She will be missed by her family which includes her son, Tom Hembach and his wife, Joanne of Sergeant Bluff; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild that is on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and both of her husbands.
