Roy A. Moore, 76, Hornick, la., died Saturday, December 6, 1969 in a Battle Creek, Iowa nursing home after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ at Rodney, Iowa. Elder Glenn Ford of the Reorganized Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sioux City officiated. Burial was in the Grant Cemetery -American Legion of Whiting, Emory Johnson Post 481 conducted graveside rites.

Mr. Moore was born August 22, 1893 at Neola, Iowa. He married Mina Hollister, March 1, 1935 at Storm Lake, Iowa. They farmed near Grant Center.

He was a veteran of World War and a member of the Emory Johnson post.

Survivors include the widow, a son Douglas of Denver, Colo., a daughter Mrs. Beverly Babb of Mapleton, a sister Mrs. Grace Arrich of Persia, Iowa; a brother Raymond of Mondamin, Iowa, two stepsisters Mrs. Edrie Kelp of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Elsie Caldwell of Little Sioux and eight grandchildren, Darrel Larson of Castana sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Maude Persinger.

Pallbearers were Rex Persinger, Wayne Dahms, Waldo Lundeen, Mike Krusen, Earl Allen and William Fouts.
